Scuba Diver bronze plaque, Curacao
BRAND NEW PIECE! Due to the popularity of the Hawaiian Diver Plaque, I have added a second one from another favorite dive spot, this time featuring a female diver. This is a great companion piece to the first plaque, shown above. It too is cast from a highly detailed original sculpture that took several weeks to sculpt. It is based on photos all taken in the seas off Curacao. If you have dived there you will recognize the sunken tugboat, it's a favorite local dive spot. All the sea life shown can be found in the waters off Curacao It features a Caribbean underwater scene with a female diver descending toward the wreck of a small tugboat. The scene is filled with a variety of exotic fish: spotted eagle ray, starfish, nurse shark, green sea turtle, scorpionfish, a school of goat fish, and a wide variety of corals and plants are all here. Another one-of-a-kind piece sculpture, and goes great next to the Hawaiian plaque. Sixteen inches wide by ten inches tall, cold cast bronze, with hanging wire on back. Weighs about three pounds.  This is the famous "Sunken Tugboat" located near Spanish Water. Lots of scuba and snorkel operators take people here, it is situated in shallow water and easily reachable by snorkelers. Shown here actual size (of the sculpture, not actual size of the tugboat!). |
